Coming Soon: A New Built-In Translation Experience

We're excited let you know that we will be upgrading the Multilingual Add-On feature in Social Pinpoint to offer a more streamlined and powerful translation experience.

Over the next month, we’ll be transitioning all sites currently using our multilingual functionality to a new, built-in translation tool developed entirely in-house. This enhancement replaces our current integration with Localize and brings translation capabilities directly into the Social Pinpoint platform - with no disruption to your site or community engagement.

This update is part of our continued effort to make Social Pinpoint more responsive, reliable, and accessible for teams working across multiple languages.


What to Expect:

  • Automatic migration - no action needed on your part
  • No changes to how participants view or switch languages
  • Faster delivery of future enhancements and feature updates
  • New reporting capabilities supporting inclusive engagement


Why Are We Making This Change?

We're moving away from a third-party translation integration (Localize), so we gain more control over how translations are delivered within Social Pinpoint. This gives us:

  • Greater flexibility and speed when releasing new features
  • Improved site performance and translation reliability
  • The ability to introduce richer multilingual reporting tools


What’s New With This Release?

  • Translation usage insights: See which languages are most used on your site. The top five translated languages will now appear in the Overview Report, with more detailed reporting in a new translation insights section
  • Feedback language tracking: When participants submit feedback, their selected language will now be automatically captured, giving you deeper insight into language preferences across your community

Note: These insights will begin capturing data from the moment your site is migrated to the new tool.


Important Information:


No Impact to Your Subscription or Existing Language Content

This is primarily a backend change. For customers on the Basic Subscription, everything will remain the same. For customers on the Enhanced/Custom Subscription, almost everything will be identical, but the process for updating languages will continue via our support team.


Localize Access

Once your site is migrated, your access to Localize will be removed. If you would like to retain any existing data or reports from Localize, please ensure you download them before your scheduled migration date (see below for timing). If you need help accessing or exporting your Localize data, please contact our support team and they'll be happy to assist.

Note: This only applies to users on our Enhanced/Custom Subscription who previously had access to Localize.


Managing Phrases

If you need a phrase to be updated or added in a specific language, contact our support team. While direct editing will no longer be available to users, our team can action requests on your behalf.

Note: This only applies to users on Enhanced/Custom plans who previously had direct access to manage phrases in Localize. For most users, the process remains unchanged.


When?

We plan to complete all site updates by 27 June 2025. You’ll receive a separate notification confirming the specific date your site will be migrated.
