We collected more than 2,000 ideas for what our community should aspire to in the future. You had a range of ideas that spanned from ways to improve health and wellbeing within the community to exciting pop-up events that everyone can enjoy.
A summary report of the ideas is now available for you to review.
We'll now review these ideas and assess them based on the five criteria for the project. The ideas that score the highest will inform the development of potential capital projects that will be included in the final community plan.
We're thankful for all your input. In the next stage of the project, we'll consult you to figure out where we can best spend our money to benefit all within our community.
In today’s landscape, having an online community engagement platform is essential to connect with your residents, gather feedback, and involve members in decision-making. However, simply having a community engagement platform isn’t enough. To make a real impact, you need to drive traffic to your engagement site, ensuring you hear from a diverse range of voices.
Community engagement is an ongoing process of collaboration and co-learning. When we evaluate our community engagement initiatives, we give ourselves the opportunity to measure our deeper impact and make improvements for future projects.
With the right action plan in place, we can ensure we are connecting with our community on an appropriate level to enhance public decision-making.
