The Sub Nav tool provides a sub-menu that helps your visitors navigate the sub-pages of a project. It displays the main Project Page along with associated Project Sub-pages, and helps visitors see what content is available for them to browse, and is a useful tool for projects that have multiple sub-pages.

Adding the Sub Nav tool onto a page will automatically detect and display all published project pages that are not expressly excluded from the navigation by the User.

⚙️Settings

Block title

This field allows you to add a heading for your Sub Nav tool. If you’d like the title to be visible to visitors, tick the ‘Display title’ checkbox.

Layout

The Layout setting determines how the navigation menu is styled and presented on the page.

Choose between:

  • Horizontal — Best for wide content areas (i.e. main body)
  • Vertical — Best for narrow content areas (i.e. sidebars)

🆕Style

The Style dropdown controls how navigation links are visually presented.

  • List - Displays links in a traditional list format. This is the original layout and remains unchanged for existing blocks unless manually updated.
  • Button (default) - Displays navigation links as individual clickable buttons. This style enhances clarity, improves readability, and provides a more modern look. Button width adjusts automatically based on the length of each page name. Buttons will also wrap to a new line on smaller screens or in narrower containers.
