Information Markers

We're thrilled to announce that you now have the ability to add Information Markers to your Social Map!

Information Markers act as pins that your team can use to enhance your map with context, details, and visual elements. This user-friendly feature expands the possibilities for sharing information and gathering feedback while making the experience more enjoyable and engaging for your community members.

Why Use Information Markers?

  • Community Engagement: Users can click on markers to access more information and provide feedback through a form or by voting and rating. Information Markers foster community engagement by encouraging users to interact with the map.
  • Enhance Context: Information Markers provide additional context to specific locations on the map, including details about projects, events, landmarks, important locations, or any relevant information. This helps users better understand what is happening in a particular area.
  • Visual Representation: Information Markers can include visual elements such as icons or images. These visuals make it easier for users to quickly grasp the significance of a location or event, enhancing the overall engagement experience.
  • Customization: Information Markers can be customized to match your specific needs. You can choose icons and forms for different categories, making it easier to present data more effectively.

If you’re looking for a little guidance to get started on implementing this exciting feature, please check out our updated article.

Social Map Layer Improvements

Enable custom icons for any layer containing point geometry

We have extended the ability to add custom icons to a layer from only the custom layer type to all layer types that include point geometry. This improvement will be for both GeoJSON and Shapefile layers and provides you with more flexibility of the points on your layers.

Define all four corners for an image layer

When adding an image layer, you can currently define two corners of the images. We have now added an option that you can select to define the location of all corners of the image. This will give you ultimate control and flexibility when positioning your image layer.

Multilingual Add-on - Create a URL to a Direct Language Selection

Customers using our multilingual add-on now have the ability to redirect visitors to a specific language of their project. We are excited to say that you can now create a URL that will take a user directly to a page that is translated in a certain language. To do this, you will simply need to manually add a 'parameter' at the end of a project URL.

Utilizing this parameter enables you to direct visitors towards a particular language based on outreach initiatives or a dedicated campaign.

Project List Improvements

Turn off display of last updated date

A setting has been added in the Project List tool that allows you to show or hide the last updated date from cards in the project list.

Filter project list by a category or a location

You can now choose to filter your Project List to only show projects that are allocated to a specific project category or location.
